Istanbul - Turkey

Istanbul is the most visited city in Turkey with more than 10.37 million tourists in 20131. Split by the Bosphorus, Istanbul is the only city in the world built at the junction of two continents2.  



Having been the capital of the Byzantine Empire and the empire Ottoman3, historic buildings are particularly important among which we can find the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Dolmabahce Palace, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar of Istanbul, Pera Palas, the Süleymaniye Mosque, Hippodrome of Constantinople.

The city has also been chosen as the cultural capital of Europe for 2010
